"The wind is rising. We must find a way to live."
I saw the Wind Rises yesterday, and it was really good! It was sad, too. At the end I wanted to bury my head in my popcorn and sob. But of course I didn't.
It was nice to see another Ghibli movie. Their style is very consistent, and they still 'paint' their backgrounds, which I like.
And one interesting thing was how there were moments that reminded you of all Hayao Miyazaki's films. For example, in one scene, they're in the forest and there is a small shrine in the background, which (I don't know about you) reminded me of My Neighbor Totoro.
They smoked a LOT, though. That's the one thing that bothered me.
Nevertheless, it is a wonderful movie.
I recommend it!
